*A WHOLE NOTHER THING:
A selection of words from my vast vocabulary, including the ubiquitous "the," the always versatile "and," and the more obscure "incontrovertible," arranged in frequently meaningful, sometimes profound, yet often pedestrian sentences and statements, designed with one goal in mind-- that being, to communicate; keeping in mind the oft-used bromide, "Never use two words when one will do the same job as two or more words would have done, unless you just want to take up space and sound important," which is, I must concede, too often a secret objective of mine indeed. And yet, now, the secret is out.

Lost Dog?

Squeeze me, but Barbur IS Hwy 99.
Perhaps it's not the dog who's lost...

She Flies With Her Own Wings

I love this song, and the pictures add a lot to it. As a native Oregonian, I have to say this song really "hits home" with me. And the title, "Give Me Wings," is especially cool since Oregon's official motto is: "She Flies With Her Own Wings."

Again, What did I say? WHAT DID I SAY?

If people would only read (& heed) my blog, this world would be so much better. Now the Secretary of Homeland Security herself, Janet Napolitano, says exactly what I have said all along! Me thinks, perhaps, that she must read this blog! (If she doesn't, she should-- and then she'd be so much more informed!)

The swine flu is simply a media event-- something that the media latched on to, and ran with-- I know, because I used to be a writer for my high school newspaper. It was brutal, but I earned my stripes on the gritty, dirty beat.

And now I share that wealth of knowledge wif you.

What Day is Cinco de Mayo this year?

 Oh, yeah... it's May 5th.
I've found that Corona (light) sometimes tastes better without the lime. I'm just sayin'...

What did I say?

Once again, I, the purveyor of truth in a world that is inundated with media hype, have predicted that the popular media have gone overboard. And here is the first glimpse at the truth I purport to offer (I proffer that there will be much more):

Yeah. I hate to say it, but I told you so.  I so tire of the media. So, so tire...
